Here it is 2010 is at HDI! We are building a strong and informative program schedule for you this year. I would like to thank you for your interest in the HDI Tampa Chapter. We look forward to presenting you with the most current and informative programs while providing a strong network of people and businesses.

As your Chapter President, I hope to share my passions in the help desk industy with you. I have over 20 years experience in the customer service/support industry. I am currently the Quality Assurance Coach to the internal service desk at Progress Energy in Saint Petersburg where I have been employed since 1999. I have been involved in corporate merger activities, self-service processes, benchmarking, service management tool implementation and several other key projects in my current role.

The Tampa Chapter is home to two recepients of the International Internal Help Desk of the Year as awarded by HDI. Progress Energy, 2007 award winner and TECO, the 2009 winner of the HDI Team Excellence Internal Help Desk of the Year . The Tampa Chapter also sent Micheal Rodgers and Frank Hartnagel to the podium for top honors as Help Desk Analyst of the Year in 2004 and 2005. I look forward to using my experiences, passion and spirit to bring value to the chapter.

The HDI Tampa Chapter is a non-profit organization that provides a networking forum for local area support professionals. Through programs and education, our chapter meetings focus on the continuous improvement of the support industry and its best practices. We currently are the only active chapter in Florida.

We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of every other month from 1:30 – 4:00 at varying locations. In addition to our email announcements that we distribute, you can find the information on upcoming meetings and topics on our website (http://www.hditampabay.com/) in the Meetings section.

We have a great team of officers in place and we would love your help in building our chapter membership and ensuring that we host fun, exciting, and informative events. The Tampa Bay Chapter Officers welcome your ideas and comments.
