TECO Energy’s Information Technology Service Desk team won the 2009 HDI Internal Team Excellence Award, an honor from the largest association for technical service and support professionals worldwide. The Service Desk beat out colleagues from Riverwoods, Ill.-based Discover Financial Services and Houston, Texas-based Memorial Hermann Healthcare, the largest hospital system in Texas. HDI Internal Team Excellence recognizes the service desk team that maintains the highest standards in technical support. HDI officials announced the award at their Annual Conference & Expo in Las Vegas.
